FORCE MULTIPLIER:\u00a0<\/strong>SGT. Bruce Bennett had the chance to watch the Seattle Slug “evolve” as a law enforcement accessory, to where his group began looking at it as a force-muliplication tool. (We don’t endorse this, but it shows some unexpected benefits of the product.) Bennett and his brother officers in Shelton, Wash., were mostly interested in balance and recoil control.<\/p>\n

“The Seattle Slug weighed within an ounce of the total\u00a0weight of the 17 rounds (9mm).\u00a0 This allowed the Glock to retain a neutral\u00a0balance position as the last half of the total rounds in a magazine were\u00a0fired. \u00a0Without it, the gun behaved differently after round #8 through #17,” says Bennett.<\/p>\n

“Shelton PD used the Slug on their Glock 21’s and I was\u00a0asked to present the idea of a lightweight Slug (aluminum) to you for Shelton PD.\u00a0 All those ideas about lightweight Slugs went by the\u00a0wayside when a brass Seattle Slug-equipped Glock 21 was used to crack open\u00a0a window in a car driven by two Shelton Slugs that thought they could
\nthwart the armed felony stop of their car used in a kidnapping spree.\u00a0 Due\u00a0to the proximity of the hostage in the vehicle, gunfire against the driver\u00a0through the driver’s window was not an option.\u00a0 Shelton PD Officer Brian

“My wife at the time (Teresa) showed me another use for a\u00a0Glock equipped with a Seattle Slug:\u00a0 She drew the gun and said, “Now take\u00a0it away from me!”\u00a0 I tried my ninja-take-the-gun-from-the-pretty-lady

You probably get a lot of these but I would like to say that \u00a0the Seattle Slug (Brass) is THE thing to have on a Glock for home defense. \u00a0I have a Gen 2 Glock 22 and I finally decided to turn it into my home defense gun. \u00a0Wanted to add a light, so I added a Command Arms Accessories rail which fit but left the gun feeling muzzle heavy and slightly unbalanced. \u00a0The rail did seem to reduce muzzle rise a bit but the gun just felt “wrong” and that was on top of how snappy the .40 Glock’s recoil can feel. \u00a0I came across your Seattle Slug while browsing through Brownell’s site and it caught my attention. \u00a0I did a little research and decided to try it out…<\/div>\n

All I can say is, “Oh My God!”. \u00a0The Seattle Slug is fantastic and was the answer to my problems. \u00a0Between the Slug and the rail muzzle rise and felt recoil with .40 S&W 180grn PDX loads is less than my friend’s Glock 17 9mm. \u00a0The combination damped out whatever the problem was with the rail by itself and now the gun feels amazing! \u00a0It just feels completely different! \u00a0And the way the extension channels magazines right into the grip during reloads… it’s like having a mag well funnel without it being intrusive in any way.<\/div>\n

Seriously, I know the slug was originally developed for competition but this thing is THE thing for home defense and self defense… now if you just had one that would work with my Glock 27…<\/div>\n
