Updated with a better-rounded entrance and embossed TF logo, the VP9 Stainless/Bronze magwell is here. We’re expecting this updated batch to sell through rapidly, so don’t drag your feet if you’d like to get one of the first two dozen. Who says a magwell can’t be beautiful? Jack Faubion helped us design what we’re calling the “steel spider” concept for the HK P30. The hexagonal holes go all the way through. The black color you’re seeing is one of our +0 basepads (protruding very slightly from the bottom).
This special project shows the potential of polished stainless/bronze matrix. Only two currently exist (the other is being ceracoated). If you’re interested getting a part like this for your pistol, please contact us. We’re still in the R+D stage, but as shown, it would retail for about $130.
HK shooters, you’ve been asking for these — and here they are!
Our “Competition” line of basepads stays under the 1-ounce weight limit of IDPA “Stock Service Pistol” and within the size limits imposed by USPSA’s “Box Rule” — making them the cat’s meow for action shooting competitors. At the same time, they’re big enough to work with our magwells, and do away with the common “hooking loss” caused by one magazine “hooking” the other as you try to draw them out of a double magazine pouch (common to the HK, S&W M&P, SIG 320, etc. etc.). We’re working on a video to show this, but our “Competition” line is almost hook-proof!

Part of the TF “Competition” line, the “Triple Threat” basepad brings the suggestions of countless M&P-shooting competitors into one multi-purpose design.
Since meeting with the Grayguns team at SHOT in February, we’ve been moving full-tilt toward developing a 140mm basepad for the hot new SIG 320. Greg Purcell is currently campaigning in the Northwest with our first-generation part, getting +5 (reloadable) or +6 (tight) in 9mm. Alma Cole is experimenting with spring/follower combinations, and reports +6 reloadable when using a modified CZ Tactical Sport spring/follower kit.
Our design blends concepts from our successful S&W M&P and HKVP9 basepads. The current 140mm part hits the lowermost corners of the frame (see photo at left), but two minutes of trimming eliminates the conflict. SIG 320 grip frames interchange easily and cost $40, so shooters modify them to suit at the drop of a hat.
